the chief of the hollister police department is set to retire. jeff miller officially retired at the end of 2010, but the city rehired him under an interim chief title, with an annual contract that was renewed until now. the city will rotate two captains to rotate as chief until a permanent replacement is found. jeff miller has been the city’s chief since his hiring in 2003.
