A hollister man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to rape a woman he met at a gilroy nightclub. 32 year-old bruno torres munguia offered the 21 year-old watsonville woman a ride home. while driving her to watsonville, he stopped just off highway 129 near a strawberry field. he stopped his attack when he saw the lights of an on-coming car, which turned out to be a santa cruz county sheriff’s deputy patrol vehicle. munguia was booked into santa cruz county jail.
