(14:41)HOLLISTER- Hollister police arrested two people in connection with an officer involved struggle over a gun on Thursday. The incident started after a patrol unit spotted a known gang member and attempted a probation compliance contact. 19 year old Jose Vega fled on foot and an officer gave chase until Vega ran onto a porch on the 300 block of Locust Street. While Vega resisted arrest a handgun was produced and the officer struggled to get control of the weapon until it was tossed into the house. The loaded pistol was recovered during a search of the property and Vega and 22 year old Roxanne Matos were booked into county jail on multiple felony charges.
