A magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported last night one mile from Hollister. According to the USGS, the quake shook at 8:52 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 5.6-miles. The epicenter was 12-miles from Gilroy, 14-miles from Prunedale and 17-miles from Salinas. Meanwhile, on Monday, a pair of smaller quakes occurred in the Bay Area. A magnitude 2.3 quake happened in the hills East of San Jose at 8:50 p.m., about 30 minutes later, a magnitude 2.9 quake shook farther north in Vallejo.
