Hollister police arrested a man on multiple charges Wednesday night. Shortly after 9:30 p.m., patrol units responded to San Benito High School to investigate reports of an armed man. At the scene, arriving officers observed a suspect fleeing the area. Police located 29 year old Steven Aguirre hiding near a storage container. He was booked into San Benito County Jail for being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm, possessing a firearm while on school grounds, carrying a firearm with intent to commit a felony, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a high capacity firearm magazine, delaying and obstructing a police officer, and destruction of evidence.
