The man accused of kidnapping and killing 13 year-old Christina Marie Williams back in June of 1998, was back in a Monterey county courtroom today. That’s because this past April some newly discovered d-n-a evidence pointed to Charles Holifield, as the suspect in the case. The convicted rapist, who has been serving 25 years-to-life in prison for some prior convictions, pleaded “Not Guilty” to Williams kidnapping and murder nearly 2 decades ago. Holifield is scheduled to return to court October 11th.
The 13 year-old girl disappeared while walking her dog on the former fort ord. Searches for the teen began shortly after her dog returned home from the walk without her.
