The Morgan Hill woman charged with the critical hit-and-run of Joshua Valdez is June, pleaded not guilty to the charges at an arraignment Friday. 28-year-old Sandra Arias originally admitted to hitting Valdez on June 16th near Butterfield Boulevard, and even told Morgan Hill Police she had been drinking on the night of the accident. However, during her brief arraignment on Friday, a lawyer for Arias entered her plea as not guilty. Arias has not been in police custody since her arrest. She is scheduled to appear again in court on August 10th.
