On Sunday evening around 7:30 PM, a hit and run incident took place in Santa Cruz.
The incident was at Escalona Drive when a man lost control of his vehicle, striking a parked van on the street.
A neighbor in the community overheard the incident and went outside after hearing a loud bang.
The neighbor asked the driver if he was okay. When the driver stated he was fine, he fled the scene.
Police were able to promptly respond, found the driver, and the driver was placed under arrest for hit and run.
The cause of collision is still under investigation.
