Cal-Trans crews are scheduled to begin work monday night, on a major part of a project to improve Highway-101 in Prunedale. The 13-mile long “Prunedale Improvement Project” will feature additional lane closures in the area. 1-lane in each direction of Highway-101 will be closed overnight, from south of Russell and Espinosa to Ralph Lane and from San Miguel Canyon Road to Tustin Lane. Those closures will be in effect from 7:30 p.m .to 6 a.m. The improvements are being made for traffic and for safety reasons, and are set to include the construction of 3 new interchanges and overpasses in the area.
