The man who was responsible for hitting dozens of vehicles with projectiles on highway 101 in Prunedale has pleaded guilty. Los Banos man Charles Lafferty initially faced more than 50 charges, and he pleaded guilty to 30 of them. Lafferty, who fired the glass marbles at vehicles for months in 2019, is slated to receive a “stipulated sentence” of 15 years in prison, when he returns to a Monterey county courtroom June 29th. A slingshot, a slingshot replacement band, and 55 marbles were found in his vehicles the day he was arrested.
