Beginning today (Mon) motorists will see increased truck traffic in the Rio Road area of Carmel. This increased volume will continue for two weeks as crews move dirt and materials across Rio Road at the Highway 1 Climbing Lane Project worksite. Drivers wishing to avoid the intersection may detour to Carmel Valley Road and Carmel Rancho Boulevard. All business and shopping centers remain open during construction.
