Renovation workers were surprised to find a mural-sized map of Santa Cruz County hidden beneath a wall. Now the county would like to know the history of the mural, uncovered by renovations of a former cafeteria on Ocean Street.
The mural has been preserved and the county plans display it in a soon-to-be-opened community room. Officials say the mural may have been hidden for several decades.
