The Homeless Garden Project has announced that their $3.5 million fundraising goal has been met.
Money that was raised could allow the nonprofit homeless job program to nearly triple their land acreage to up to 9 acres for a new barn, administrative office, and farm land.
The new site would be located at Pogonip, located off Golf Club Drive in Santa Cruz, and would allow the Homeless Garden Project to expand offering its services to more of those in need.
Currently, the Homeless Garden Project grows nearly 7,000 pounds of produce annually.
