The recent hepatitis A outbreak in Santa Cruz county appears to be in decline. The outbreak that reached its peak with 11 reported cases in a single week back in July has since tapered with no reported cases in the last two weeks. Santa Cruz county spokesperson Jason Hoppins said that it is too early to draw definite conclusions about either cause or longevity of the latest downward trend.
