A preliminary hearing has again been delayed for a man accused of running down and killing a salinas man. The hearing for adnan nijemeddin was re-scheduled, so that his newly-appointed attorney can familiarize herself with the case. Nijemeddin is accused of intentionally running over 47-year-old billy rajah junior on January 17th, in salinas’ Chinatown. Rajah later died from his injuries, and nijmeddin is facing murder charges. his preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for February 14th Private attorney susan chapman was appointed by the court to represent nijmeddin, after he reportedly refused to work with anyone from the public defender’s office.
