Salinas Road near Watsonville was closed after a head on collision between a car and a truck yesterday. Officials say the accident took place shortly before 8:30 a.m. on Salinas Road near Fair Way when a black Toyota crashed into an oncoming truck. The driver of the car received major injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center. The roadway was reopened at 11 a.m. The cause of the accident is under investigation
