A soquel woman died yesterday in a head-on collision near merced. 51-year-old patricia garske was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at about 1 p.m. on highway-140. 3-passengers were injured in the accident. a 16-year-old santa cruz boy and 28-year-old Fremont woman sustained major injuries, while a 16-year-old soquel girl suffered minor injuries. the wreck was caused by another driver, that lost control of her pick-up truck, then over corrected and smashed head-on into garske’s motor home.
