hartnell college has been awarded a 2.3-million dollar grant from the u.s. department of education. the high school equivalency program grant assists migratory and season farm workers, or their children 16 year old or older, attain their general education degree. hartnell’s program will focus on science, technology, engineering and math majors and careers. hartnell college receieved the only h.e.p. grant in california this year.
