In what has become the largest informal annual gathering in Santa Cruz 9,000 people gathered to Downtown Santa Cruz last night to celebrate Halloween. The Santa Cruz Police Department has released a statement that there were no significant acts of violence throughout the festivities. The extra police presence reported the following activity of 18 arrests for crimes such as public intoxication, drug use, and active warrants. As well as 42 citations at triple rates mostly open containers of alcohol and public urination.
