While the traditional Halloween gathering in downtown Santa Cruz is unable to take place this year, another choice in the era of social distancing is planned to take its place.
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is offering a trick-or-treat from noon to 7 PM on Halloween.
Participants will receive a card to play outdoor midway or arcade games, an entry into a costume contest, and must wear face coverings.
