Governor Newsom is requesting PG&E offer refunds to customers who lost power last week when the utility cut power to prevent deadly fires. The governor sent a letter to PG&E chief executive Bill Johnson asking the utility to provide a bill credit or rebate worth100 dollars for residential customers and 250 dollars for small businesses. Newsom says that before the shutoff PG&E executives rejected offers of help from state and local emergency managers to help with the situation.
