Greenfield’s Cesar chavez middle school was placed on lockdown friday morning, as police officers searched for someone deemed a “person of interest” in connection with Tuesday’s murder of 18-year-ood jose barragan. Officers served a search warrant at a house on the 3-hundred block of Tuscany drive, where they arrested the suspect on other charges, and questioned him in connection with this week’s murder. a witness reported that a 2nd person might have jumped over a backyard fence, which promoted a search of the neighbor hood. No other suspect was ultimately located.
