Fifteen people will lose jobs when Grid Alternatives, a non-profit that brought solar power to low-income families closes its Salinas office. The group blames the closure on a lack of funding.
Since opening in Salinas in 2015, the group has helped nearly 1,200 low-income families get solar power systems for their homes.
