The director of Greenfield’s Chamber of Commerce is the focus of an investigation. Authorities say police received a complaint about missing funds from the city’s Chamber of Commerce. An investigation was launched and is now centered on the Chamber’s Executive Director Michael Mungia. Mungia recently ran for mayor, and lost to the incumbent, John Huerta Junior. The amount of money unaccounted for is undisclosed at this time and the case has been forwarded to the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office.
