A State of Emergency was issued today for 4 California Counties. Governor Jerry Brown declared Del Norte, Humboldt, San Mateo and Santa Cruz Counties as emergency zones after they were devastated by tsunami waves generated by the massive earthquake that hit Japan yesterday. Today’s declaration was announced after the water surge was considered to be causing conditions of “extreme peril” to infrastructure and safety. Docks were destroyed, boats were damaged and a man was said to have been swept out to sea.
