Longtime Watsonville resident Aurelio Gonzalez has been sworn-in as the District 2 council member on the Watsonville City Council. That seat was left vacant in March, when Oscar Rios resigned from the council. Gonzalez, who graduated from Watsonville High School and attended Cabrillo College, has also served on a number of local boards over the last 30 years…..including the Watsonville Planning Commission, the Santa Cruz County Housing Authority, and the Pajaro Valley Unified School District Budget Committee.
