A well, that serves the city of Gonzales, has been taken off-line due to elevated levels of coliform bacteria. Although that particular bacteria is not considered harmful, it is usually a sign there could be a problem with the system’s treatment or distribution system. Well number 5 (on Fanoe Road) is being repaired, and is expected to be back in service by November 30th.
