A Gonzales man died as a result of an accident on Highway 101 this morning. The fatal crash occurred when the 31 year-old lost control of his vehicle, and it veered into oncoming traffic near Potter Road. The driver was declared dead at the scene. His passenger suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Natividad Medical Center. The driver of the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries.
