(11:16)SANTA CRUZ- Accused murderer 17 year old Adrian Gonzales, was in court, on Friday, for the one of several hearings to determine whether he should be tried as an adult. Gonzales was arrested in July of 2015 and charged with six felony charges, including murder with a special allegation of lying in wait, kidnapping, forcible rape and lewd acts with a child younger than 14.., in connection with the death of 8 year old Maddy Middleton. The case now proceeds to a confirmation hearing on August 16th as a preparation for the transfer hearing, which will determine if the case can be transferred to adult court.
