That after new parents Abraham and Clarissa Mercado (who were returning home from their first outing with their son, Asher) were critically injured when a vehicle struck theirs, while trying to illegally pass another car on highway 152. Abraham suffered a broken back, clavicle, and wrist…along with 2 shattered knee caps and other injuries. Clarissa is scheduled to undergo several more surgeries, and Asher, who was born premature and spent 6 weeks in a Neonatal I-C-U, is reportedly being treated at Stanford Medical Center.
