A suspect is under arrest in connection with a double shooting in Gilroy Tuesday that left a 68-year old man dead and another critically injured. Police are not releasing any information about the suspect until witnesses have confirmed his identity. The just after 6 p.m incident occurred outside Las Animas Park during a physical confrontation. Gilroy resident Martin Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene while the other victim, a 34-year old man is recovering in the hospital. The shooting was the first homicide of the year for Gilroy.
