Gilroy Police have arrested the man accused of trying to kidnap a young child at a Goodwill store on Saturday. Investigators said 39-year-old Cesar Gutierrez was arrested Monday evening.
A Gilroy family was shopping at the Gilroy Goodwill store when the father realized his 2-year-old son was not with the other children. Police say the dad searched the store and found his son while he was being led away by Gutierrez.
The father confronted the man and the Gutierrez released the child and fled. The subject was later booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for kidnapping and probation violation.
