Gilroy’s first homicide of the year is under investigation. Police say a 68-year old man suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the chest last night near Las Animas Park. Another man was also shot but he survived and is being treated at a local hospital. Police are still trying to find the shooter. The motive of the shooting is still unknown, however authorities do not believe it is gang-related. A white Toyota Celica was last seen leaving the crime scene.
