A former Olympic wrestler, and current wrestling coach, at Gilroy High School since 2018 has been inducted into a hall of fame. Daniel Cormier, who was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, was inducted this week into the Louisiana High School Athletic Association. In high school at Northside High, Cormier won 3 Louisiana state championships in wrestling. He was twice voted the most outstanding wrestler of the state tournament.
