Deliberations have re-started in the Ghost Ship Trial. On the 10th day of jury deliberations the judge dismissed 3 jurors due to unlisted infractions. They were replaced by 3 alternate jurors, leaving just 1 alternate juror (who is likely to replace a 4th juror, who has an upcoming scheduling conflict). The jury is deliberating the fate of 49 year-old Derick Almena and 29 year-old Max Harris, who each face 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter for the 36 people killed in the ghost ship warehouse fire in December of 2016 in Oakland. Almena originally rented the warehouse for the purpose of building theatrical sets, but q=quickly sublet the space to other artists, while Harris is accused of helping almena convert the warehouse, collect rent, and coordinate parties there. This trial began April 30th.
