A Cooling Center has been opened in the Greenfield Civic Center….and city officials say they plan to have it operational on all days where the temperature is forecasted to be over 90 degrees. The center is slated to be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on those days. Due to the pandemic, chairs there are spaced 6 feet away from each other, and people are asked to wear facial coverings while in the cooling center. Hand sanitizer is being provided. Employees, who are regularly wiping down the tables and chairs there, are wearing masks and gloves.
