A new ordinance has gone into effect in the city of Monterey. Gas-powered leaf blowers are no longer allowed to be used in residential areas, and other leaf blowing equipment can only be used between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. For further information on this ordinance, people can contact the Code Compliance Division.
