A broken gas line in salinas shut down north main street this morning. at about 10:30 a.m. a tractor ruptured the line when it ran over the 1-inch pipe. No injuries were reported. Salinas firefighters and pg and e crews responded to the scene, and the line was repaired in about a half-hour.
