A greenwaste garbage truck veered off highway-68 in Monterey this morning, injuring the driver. 63-year-old joseph russo told c-h-p officers that he swerved to avoid something in the road on Vista del Toro Place, before the truck rolled 50-feet down an embankment. Russo was trapped inside for about a half-hour, before crews were able to remove him. He was then air-lifted to Valley medical center in san jose, to be treated for injuries including at least 1-broken bone.
