A fundraising race was held yesterday in Santa Cruz, to benefit local non-profit organizations. Organizers of the 31st annual Human Race Walkathon and Fun-Run estimate more than 250-thousand dollars was donated at the event. The money is expected to be divided between 146 Santa Cruz-area non-profits. The funds will be disbursed by the main beneficiary, the Volunteer Centers of Santa Cruz County. An estimated 15-hundred people participated in the charity run.
