2 MEN WERE ARRESTED AFTER A ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP, IN WATSONVILLE, FRIDAY NIGHT. THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE NEAR THE CORNER OF WEST BEACH STREET AND HARVEST DRIVE, WHEN SHORTLY AFTER 9:30 P-M, OFFICERS PULLED OVER A VEHICLE, WITH MULTIPLE CODE VIOLATIONS. 1 OF THE PASSENGERS, 18 YEAR OLD FELIPE JIMENEZ-SALAS, RAN FROM THE VEHICLE, AND WAS QUICKLY APPREHENDED. A SEARCH OF THE VEHICLE TURNED UP A LOADED, STOLEN HANDGUN. ANOTHER PASSENGER, 20 YEAR OLD PATRICK DIAZ WAS CHARGED, AS A FELON IN POSSESSION OF A LOADED CONCEALED FIREARM, POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY, AND GANG ENHANCEMENTS. DIAZ AND SALAS WERE BOOKED INTO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY JAIL. 3 OTHER PASSENGERS AND THE DRIVER WERE CITED FOR ALCOHOL RELATED OFFENSES.
