A civil settlement has been reached in a case against the marketer of a medical device. The case against Danville resident Benjamin altadonna involved the district attorney of monterey county, as well as 9-other district attorneys. The 2010 suit revolved around fraudulent claims by altadonna that a medical device that he sold, could cure serious spinal diseases. The device, called the “D-R-X 9-thousand,” was simply a motorized traction machine. Altadonna has been ordered to pay more than 1-point-1 million dollars in fines.
