Law enforcement agencies across the Monterey Peninsula have arrested four men and are seeking four others in connection with a recent spike in gang and drug activity. Officers served multiple search warrants yesterday, resulting in the arrests of 29-year-old Kenneth Caldwell, 26-year-old Hassan Beyah, 22-year-old Joseph Rios, and 22-year-old Charles Black. The four men still being sought have been identified as Ronald Tinsley and Frank James, both 21, as well as 22-year-old Dexter Barnett and 23-year-old Terence Mathews. The operation was initiated following a series of clashes between Norteño and Crips gang members stemming from the March 15th murder of Khaleel Johnson in Sand City.
