Former Salinas Councilman Jose Castaneda was found guilty today of domestic violence. An ex-girlfriend accused Castaneda of stalking, kidnapping, sexual battery and physically injuring her. The jury deadlocked on the sexual battery charge. Castaneda faces a maximum sentence of nine years and eight months in prison. Sentencing is scheduled to be on June 22.
