Low-income renters in all cities, and in the unincorporated areas, of Santa Cruz county will be able to tap into more than $16 million when a new rent relief program launches next month. That’s because Santa Cruz county supervisors voted unanimously today to join a state rent relief program. The money can be used to pay rent and utility bills for local renters unable to because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Applications will be available on the state’s website called: HousingIsKey.com
