A law that had been scheduled to go into effect January first has been delayed. That after opponents to the ban on flavored tobacco have gathered enough signatures to put the new law to a statewide vote. The law won’t be enforced while county clerks work to determine if there are at least 623 thousand valid signatures. The ban would not make it a crime for people to have flavored tobacco…however, it would make it a crime for retailers to sell flavored tobacco. Violators would face a 250 dollar fine.
