Today/On Tuesday, Santa Cruz County health officials said that nearly 1 in every 5 people in the county had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
In an interview with KSBW TV news, EMS Medical Director Dr. David Ghilarducci said that 43,452 people had received the first dose of the vaccine across the county. Those numbers account for nearly 20% of the entire county’s population.
In addition, it was reported that nearly 11,000 people had received their second doses of the vaccine and were fully vaccinated.
