Fired UCSC Students To Go Back to Work 08-11-20 14:41 DC

UC Santa Cruz and the teaching assistants fired for withholding student grades have reached an agreement. And the students are now eligible to resume employment with the college.

The graduate student teaching assistants had withheld grades during a wildcat strike earlier this year as they demanded higher wages.

This news comes about a month after the college announced a settlement agreement with the union representing the teaching assistants. The university previously said it would offer new five-year funding guarantees and $2,500 housing stipends.
