Natividad elementary school, (in Salinas), was evacuated wednesday morning, after a fire broke out at a nearby house. The flames broke out at 11 a.m., in the garage of a house on the 14-hundred block of modoe road. 3-people made it out of the house safely, and several pets were rescued by firefighters. No injuries were reported. The flames were controlled in about an hour, although the garage was destroyed. Staff and students and natividad were allowed to resume classes at 11:40 .m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
