A restaurant fire that damaged a thai restaurant in santa cruz, was determined to have started accidentally. The fire on September 1st, broke out in the kitchen on Sabieng Thai Cuisine, (which is on the 22-hundred block of Mission Street). Fire investigators determined that the flames originated at the stove, possibly from a pot left on too long, or from a nearby faulty light fixture. Repair efforts are expected to take about 3-months, before the restaurant can reopen.
